June is dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
A large statue of the Sacred Heart presides over our living room. Here, He is a quiet witness to many friendly visits, important meetings, and our sisterly shenanigans (officially called "recreation"). His tranquil presence gives us an unspoken sense of peace and trust in His providence.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

"Pentecost reminds us that the Christian life is never merely personal or private. The Spirit draws us outward in love and mission, calling each of us to contribute to the life of the Church in unique and necessary ways."

Newly professed Sr. Elizabeth shares her reflection for Pentecost Sunday. Come, Holy Spirit!

What is a “Come Away with Me” retreat?
It is more than a brief “Come & See” weekend. It is an opportunity to spend a week in our community in Justice, IL. It is intended as a time to deepen one's prayer life, allowing the Holy Spirit to move in one's heart. It is also an opportunity for those discerning a religious vocation to glimpse the way of life in the community of Dominican Sisters. The goal of this annual retreat is to offer a safe space for women to meet God and grow more in love with Him, the Divine Bridegroom.
Please keep in your prayers young women who are already coming to the retreat and those who are still pondering the invitation in their hearts.
If you are still considering joining this year’s “Come Away with Me” retreat, contact Sr. Charbel Joseph at [email protected]

On the Solemnity of the Ascension, Sr. Charbel reflects on her recent visit to Calgary, where she shared with young people the Good News that we are Sons & Daughters of God who loves us and wants to share His eternity with us.
