Their heads are round with open sweet expressions much like beautiful pansy flowers. The head is round like a ball, the square body balanced by a short thick tail. Huge round eyes light up the face, the snug nose sits right between the eyes with open nostrils that can breathe freely. Persian and Himalayan cats have long, luxuriant coats that take time and expertise to maintain, while the teddybear looking Exotic Shorthair is affectionately called the lazy person's Persian for its substantially easier to maintain short dense coat and are also considered livelier and more inquisitive than their long-haired counterparts.
