Every condo board will eventually face difficult conversations and strong personalities. The challenge is not avoiding disagreement but in how you manage it professionally before it impacts everyone else.

One of the most well-received discussions at our conference last month was focused on “rogue personalities” and how disruptive board behaviour can affect decision-making, communication, and trust within a building.

Some important reminders are that individual board members cannot act independently on behalf of the corporation and disagreements should be documented and handled through proper governance channels.

In many cases, early communication and clear expectations can prevent issues from escalating into legal disputes.

Our goal is always to provide condo boards with honest guidance, and support they can rely on.
