Lets clear this up... Sliding three frets to the left you are still playing the major pentatonic scale... stop calling it the minor because you are likely confusing yourself... yes the pattern is the same but the root notes (that is what really matters) are different... so it's still the major pentatonic scale... just a different position of it.

Using "Extensions" to visualize and navigate the guitar neck is SOOOO much more practical then endlessly practicing 5 separate patterns.

Build from the "Base" pattern out left and right then start on the "House" pattern and build left and right from that. WHY? because that is how you will play it on guitar silly!!!
