Urgently Hiring:

We are looking for a Swamper/General Laborer to take up manual labor tasks and support operations in our manufacturing site. We’d like you to have include stamina, attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to lift heavy loads. You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to all safety requirements. Responsibilities

Perform general housekeeping duties, clean-up worksites from hazardous or obsolete materials.
Complete daily/weekly/month maintenance inspections on machines, tools and/or equipment.
Assist welders, electricians, plumbers or other tradespeople on-site.
Handle and transport materials and equipment.
Sort, pack and unpack raw materials and finished goods and can include loading materials into production machines; moving raw and scrap materials, finished products and equipment throughout the facility.

Requirements

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
Good hand-eye coordination
Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
Communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety rules
Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
Attention to detail, fast-paced, organized and a ‘can-do’ attitude is a must!
Any painting or welding experience would be an asset
