Pink The Rink with the . With Christmas come and gone, and some time off my real job, I was able to get some editing done on a couple galleries. This was one of them that I got to be apart of. The people, the players and the families supporting a good cause. The puck toss between periods, with the team watching from the bench. The kids putting all their might into trying to get the pucks to centre. The parents moms accepting jerseys from players. You couldn't have asked for a better afternoon. Only a few of the action shots are here, the rest are online for you to have as mementos of this amazing day. Thank you for letting me be apart of it. Keep the streak going, and I'll see you at the next one.

First Tournament Complete, Big Thank you to High Country Rockies for having me out for the tournament. It was a long three days but I made it. I learned a few things this weekend on the business side, and on the shooting side. I have been spolied with the Generals arena that it has all LED lights, with no dark spots. Sometimes you have to persevere and work with what you have and make the best of it. Crank the ISO, drop the shutter speed and run at f2.8. You would never know these were shot at 5000 iso, until now. Second thing was make sure you dress for the weather, spoiled again, the arena is usually long sleeve, vest warm. Not this one, i needed gloves, base layers, long sleeve, vest, and winter boots. I will still going to the office or the lobby to warm up between floods and warmup. That aside, I had so much fun and got to watch some good hockey.

Photos from the home opener on Saturday for the Cochrane Generals. I don’t think their was a dry eye in the house. I know I could only hold the camera up for so long before it got suspicious. Coaches on the bench definitely caught me trying to discreetly wipe the tears away. It was something special to witness that night and the support Elliott had from players, coaches, family, and friends. And to top it off without even knowing, this song was chosen for this set of pictures.

Gone too soon, Elliott, you will be missed.

Home Opener for the Cochrane Generals. It was great to be back in the SLS Center. A few of the shots from the 4-1 win. It was a close game up until the final minutes of the 3rd period. The team hunkered down and got it done. I got to meet new people and see the old faces. More photos to come from opening ceremonies, I don't think there was a dry eye in the arena.

Earlier this year, we were getting ready for the season. When I had the opportunity to meet Zane. I had seen him practice once before at a winter conditioning but didn't know much about his career to this point. After seeing him practice, I definitely wanted him on our team, but I am glad he didn't stay to play with us. He went on to win a Founders Cup this year in Alberta. Congratulations Zane, best of luck in your lacrosse journey.

These were only a few of the ones that I got during the gold medal game. It was a great game to watch, and the team played awesome. The games that I got to watch them play were great high tempo lacrosse. Congratulations, Kahnawá:ke Hunters

We see families wear matching clothes for family portraits, but have you seen families wear jerseys for photoshoots? Now you have.

I have known this family for a very long time through our lacrosse family. It started back in the winter lacrosse days at the Curry Barracks and went on to coach Aaron when he was playing for the junior team in High River. When I was asked to take family photos of them, I didn't even think twice. The only thing was, we had to wait for lacrosse to be over.

The weather held out, and it was a beautiful sunny day with some clouds, but the day was perfect. The dogs let out their inner models and posed( in between smelling for gophers). I got to use the K&F Concept circular polarizer and ND filter. All in all, it was a good day, and we had a good catch-up afterward.

Thank you for thinking of me to come out and take photos. If anyone is looking for fall family photos, I have some availability to take photos in the next couple of months before the S-word starts to fly.
