Insight on the inspiration for from choreographer Deanna Witwer:

I began research for this piece out of a feeling of weightiness of a scripture I was directed to: “The people living in darkness have seen a great light;on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.” Since then I have, ironically or providentially, journeyed through the darkest season of my life, struggling with overwhelming and irrational anxiety during a huge point of transition. This dance has been my companion, acting as a vessel for healing and an instigation to search for hope, health and spiritual formation when faith is hard and light dim.
