Today is the first step towards the next chapter in our story.
We're are very excited to announce that Calgary's own Nic Sgaggi (former vocalist and guitarist for Calgary Pop-Punk band Coming Out Swinging) has agreed to join the ranks of The Path Less Traveled! Nic is an extremely talented musician who is no stranger to Calgary's vibrant rock scene. Nic will be offering his angelic voice to us and also be playing bass guitar for the first time in his life. We've known Nic since we started our band, and our paths often crossed at shows. He's no stranger to punk rock, hard rock, or metal, and he is a great fit for us and our sound. Most importantly though, he is a stand up dude and someone that we are proud to stand beside on the stage. He'll be playing his first show with us on February 17th.
The sad part of this news is that we will be saying goodbye to Dustin, a founding member of The Path Less Traveled. Dustin means the world to us and it has been an absolute honour and privilege to have had him in our band. He always played with more passion and energy than the rest of us combined and always brought a laugh to the practice space. The decision to part ways was not an easy one by any means, but it was not made over any arguments or fights. Everyone is on good terms and there is no bad blood. He will be playing his last show with us on February 17th.
How can we have 2 bass players at a show? We've got plans. BIG plans. February 17th at Dickens Pub going to be a riot. A huge send off for Dustin and a massive welcome for Nic.
We'll see you there! 2017 is going to be a big year for it. We can feel it.
- Scott, Jordan, Mike, Dustin, and Nic -
