Moving to a new city is always challenging, but I was determined to make it work when I arrived in Toronto. As a wedding photographer, I knew I needed to make connections fast to get my business off the ground. Fortunately, I found , who was generous enough to offer his help if I ever needed it. And I did! When he asked me to be a second shooter at Kerry and Priya’s wedding, I was over the moon. It was an incredible opportunity to work with some of the most talented artists in the industry, including Carlo, , and . Each one of them had a unique perspective and approach that reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. But meeting them was about more than just photography - it was about connecting with other artists who understood the challenges and joys of this work. As someone who knows firsthand how hard it can be to break into a new industry, I’m grateful for the kindness and support of this team, and I felt honoured to be part of it for those two days.
