-Traditional Copper Range Hood-
There's nothing like a traditional Copper range hood. By utilizing standing seams and visible copper rivets, this one is a great combination of simplicity and character all built into one.

-Stainless Steel Under Cabinet Range Hood-
Sometimes simple is more than enough. With a brushed stainless finish mixed with pleats and rivets, this small range hood adds a little bit of character to an already beautiful home.

-The Artist & His Craft-
I wanted to come on here to introduce myself as the Artist and Craftsman behind everything at Obsidian Metalcraft.
My name is Derek DeBoer and I have been in the metal industry for over 10 years now.
Starting out my metalwork by acquiring a Degree in Jewellery + Metals, I was able to lay a groundwork that helped me understand the merging between artistry and quality.
With a myriad of different skills behind me like sculpting, welding, wood working, etc. I found myself constantly searching for something to build and to create something I had never quite seen before.
A common "problem" I have is every time I go to buy something for my home, I have found myself saying "This just isn't quite what I'm looking for".
This "problem" unfortunately then proceeds with the phrase "Well I guess Ill just have to build it myself then."
To build it myself brings creativity and the space for something new to be born, and I can't wait to see what I get to build next.
Thank - You.

-Antiqued Brass Range Hood-
Sometimes the simplest of projects make the biggest statements.
This Brass Range Hood was one of the few things that went in to refresh this kitchen and what a difference it made!
By refreshing this older kitchen we were able to give it new life for many years to come.

-Outdoor Copper Flowerbed Wall-
With a combination of Raw Copper and Raw Steel on this wall feature, we have yet to see this feature in its full beauty.
Overtime this wall will patina with the weather, plants will grow up the grid work, and this wall will become a living art piece.
Now all we have to do is wait ....ππ

At Obsidian Metalcraft, it all starts with a drawing.
Working with clients on a one to one basis, a drawing has always been the best way to get exactly what the client has envisioned.
Through the process of "maybe we can add this here" to "what would it look like in this metal", we can find the exact vision that will fit into your home.
Each drawing done to ensure all the details are correct on our journey to create something beautiful.
Happy Holidays Everyone ππ

- Copper Fireplace Mantle -
Had the opportunity to make this mantle for a client.
I find mantles to be such an easy way to create a feature piece for your fireplace.
Would love to do more of these! (Maybe in some steel with brass accents perhaps? ππ )
