Want to add more yards to your drive and stop feeling stiff after 18 holes? 🏌️‍♂️

Mike Herman, Physiotherapist at our Cranston 📍is sharing his 3 go-to mobility stretches for golfers to loosen up before hitting the course:

1️⃣ Mid-Back Rotation: Keeps the hips square while building upper body thoracic mobility.

2️⃣ Overhead Reach: Opens up the shoulders and lats for a smoother, fuller backswing.

3️⃣ Posterior Chain & Lower Back Flow: Limbers up the hamstrings and lower back with a gentle side-to-side stretch.

🍁May is National Physiotherapy Month!
We’re celebrating and saying a big thank you to our physiotherapists at Encompass Sports Therapy who help people move, feel, and live better every single day.

So, what is a physiotherapist?
Physiotherapists are primary health care professionals who play a key role in preventing injury, promoting health, and treating a wide range of conditions. Using a deep understanding of how the body works, paired with hands-on clinical expertise, they assess, diagnose, and treat pain, injury, and physical challenges. All physiotherapists registered to practice in Canada are qualified to provide safe and effective physiotherapy treatment.

What do physiotherapists do?
A physiotherapist's goal is to get you moving—and keep you moving well. That means helping you recover, reach your best level of function, and prevent future injuries.

They also specialize in many areas such as orthopedics, pediatrics, pelvic health, neurological and cardiorespiratory rehab, geriatrics, sports, and more.
