Sometimes I wonder how many people feel this but rarely say it out loud…

You work hard.
You show up every day.
You pay the bills.
You try to save when you can.

Yet somehow it still feels like you’re 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝.

After 𝟐𝟖 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, I’ve seen how hardworking so many people are.

But working hard doesn’t always mean we’ll automatically have the 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦, 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 we hope for later in life.

That realization is what pushed me to start learning something completely new outside my career.

Not to leave nursing…
but to create 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.
