A black bear spotted on the side of highway 93 south in Banff National park finding some of the season’s first dandelions to eat. Dandelions are a staple of a bears diet in early spring. This draws the bears to roadsides where they are in danger of being hit by people who drive over the 90 km speed limit. Please drive carefully this spring. If you see bears and other wildlife besides the road, slow down, put your four way flashers on and enjoy your opportunity to see some of our amazing wildlife. But do not stop and cause or contribute to a dangerous for all involved bear jam. Thank you!
