Cyanotype daisy (a linocut)

This was a happy accident. I was making a test print of the blue ink for my next colour layer of the daisy print, and it reminded me of making cyanotypes in university. I knew I could not be the only person to love this accidental resemblance so I printed more 💙

This block is a reduction linocut. That means that with each new layer of colour, I have to carve away more of the block. So, once I print the next colour I can never go back and create this same print again. When the edition is done, it’s done forever.
