AV & The Inner City

AV’s folks were in a bad car accident last Tuesday 💔. They are both gonna make it but they are very injured and still in the trauma unit at the hospital. On Friday we released a song called “A Dollar & A Suitcase,” which tells the story of Louisa’s mom, AV’s grandma, saying goodbye to her, and universal goodbyes over generations and immigration. We surprised Louisa on her bday last year by inviting her to our rehearsal to hear it, which was one of the 1st times we ever sang AV’s new arrangement of it. We got through about 3 words of it before we were all crying 😁🤦🏽‍♀️🤭🥹. That is to say, even before this recent accident the song brings up a lot of emotions. Now it’s a bit off the charts 🥲😳💔.
