Edmonton 4-H Multi Club

Rooted in Tradition!

On Saturday, November 9, part of our 4H group attended Farmfair International. Farm Fair is a large event that takes place annually at the Edmonton Expo Center. It primarily revolves around farm related topics, hence the name.

After a small speech, we went into our first breakout rooms. Me and Mom went to the Canine course. I thought it would be the same as last year, but I was very wrong. Instead of jumps and weaves, we were greeted by a police dog, which among other tricks, demonstrated biting a suspect to the crowd. It was very interesting to watch, but I would never want to own one of those police dogs, since they had no manners. The event was hosted in partnership with a charity, which helped find new homes for these dogs after retirement. I imagine they would be quite the handful!

There was also a draw for a scavenger hunt. I got a nice hat! We also received a gift bag, which included some awesome treats. This was a really fun event and I can't wait to go next year.
