Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures in our community and the fire department family. Thank you for the time you give, the examples you set, and the support you provide to your families, friends, and communities in ways both big and small.

We also want to recognize the fathers and partners who support firefighters in their families, whether that means accommodating late-night calls, training commitments, schedule changes, or simply being part of the support network that makes our emergency service possible.

If you've spending today with family, remembering someone important to you, or just recharging, we hope you had a great Father's Day, and thank you for all that you do!

Thursday night’s weather event has produced substantial downfall across the community. CLFR crews were out until ~1:45 tending to calls.

As you wake up on Friday morning-potentially without power-and get on with your day, please be cautious. Several trees throughout the area remain on the wires as of 2:00am, and there is both large amounts of debris on the roads, and areas where trees are fallen completely across roads. Of particular note is a large tree across McRae Rd @ East Lake Rd where the road has been taped off to alert drivers heading into the blind corner.
