Meet Honey! Honey is a young adult female chihuahua yorkie mix looking for a very special home.

Honey came into our care with medical concerns that led to a diabetes diagnosis. This is something she was born with and will have life-long. Honey requires insulin twice a day and is seeking a home that understands her needs and is prepared to take on her medical care. Honey is the sweetest, most affectionate girl and is ready to be spoiled and loved endlessly.

Honey is a typical small dog, weighing only 5lbs. She prefers to be carried and cuddled as often as possible and if her feet touch the ground, she wants to be curled up in a cozy bed. Honey loves to go for walks. She prances through the grass excitedly and is very curious about new things. She does like to talk and will let out a small bark at new things. She’s currently being fostered at a farm and is very excited about all the animals.

Honey has increased drinking and peeing due to her diabetes. She needs frequent outdoor potty breaks and has occasional accidents. She needs understanding home willing to give her some patience while she acclimatizes to living in a home - she’s never had one before.

Honey gets a bit nervous of new bigger animals. She would thrive as an only pet or in a house with calm, respectful animals. She has shown signs of wanting to play with other dogs but takes time to warm up to them. She loves to play with her people and gets the zoomies regularly.
