SMU Sailing Team

So much fun had at Make Waves for the IWK this weekend! We had a team racing championship against Dalhousie Sailing Team in the name of a great cause!

Ian Dawson, the event organizer, was in a tragic accident two summers ago when a transport truck rear-ended his vehicle. He was driving his two children and a neighbour's child. Tragically, the neighbour's child succumbed to his injuries on his sixth birthday. This event is to recognize the incredible efforts and support put forth by experienced care teams at the IWK.

SMU Sailing is ecstatic to support such notable dedication! Thank you to Ian Dawson and all the volunteers at Make Waves that make this event possible! And Congratulations to Dal for the win! :)
