Jimmy Rankin

Our mother was incredibly tenacious and resilient raising 12 children without a lot of resources. She encouraged all the music in our home and she provided the foundation for four of my older siblings and I to eventually form the Rankin Family band. She was at the heart of that. Thinking of her with so much love today. đ
From backstage in New Glasgow⊠hereâs a little taste of whatâs to come. đ¶
In this clip weâre singing a bit of the beautiful classic âSnowbirdâ, written by the legendary Gene MacLellan â a song that never gets old. It felt especially fitting to sing a few lines backstage with Catherine MacLellan and J.P. Cormier before heading out to the stage.
Next up weâre heading to Port Hawkesbury on Saturday, March 7. If youâre nearby, come on out and join us for the night. Weâd love to see you there. Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre
The idea behind the Kitchen Party is simple.
Itâs not about the spotlight itâs about the songs.
The stories behind them.
And the moments we share when the music is stripped back and the room leans in a little closer.
This Songwriters Edition is exactly that. No big production. Just three musicians, a lifetime of songs, and the magic that happens when we listen.
