Marriage is not a “finally I found a finished product” moment. It is two imperfect humans growing, stretching, and sometimes struggling side by side. That part of the conversation really stayed with us. The obsession with finding a perfect spouse sounds comforting, but if we are honest, it is one of the most misleading ideas out there… and probably the fastest way to stay stuck.
This is exactly why we named the episode Bad Marriage Advice Keeping You Single. So many of the beliefs we carry about love and marriage sound wise, yet they quietly sabotage us. Some of them we grew up hearing. Others we constantly see on social media. All of them deserve a much closer look.
Huge thank you to for such a thoughtful and eye opening discussion.

What is some bad marriage advice you've heard before?
Sometimes you don’t realize how much you’ve grown until you pause and look back.
If you’re single and thinking about marriage, especially something big like relocating, it can feel exciting and terrifying at the same time. Most of us (including me) go in with good intentions, lots of duas, and not nearly enough clarity.
Doing this work, talking to so many single Muslims, and having these conversations has taught me how much easier things could be when you ask the right questions before making life-changing decisions.
If you or someone you care about is considering relocating for marriage, this episode might interest you 🌍💍

We had such a refreshing conversation with about the second most important talk to have before marriage, and it’s one every single Muslim needs to hear.
