Congratulations to Gillian Greig who has completed Ron Lefreniere's 3rd edition of "The Field Guide to the Cinderella Stamps of Canada". André Dufresne, an expert in the field, assisted Gillian and acted as co-editor.
It was a huge project, and an immense amount of information was preserved for future generations of collectors. This is a definitive work and I highly suggest picking up a copy (available mid-April).
They have a list of shows where it will be available including Orapex. Save the postage and pick it up at a show!!!

New discovery from a box of Newfoundland letters. Newfoundland postsge dues are scarce.

Newfoundland # 2 2d scarlet vermillion, used with light grid cancel, on thick, porous, wove paper with mesh, accompanied by two certificates (APS, 2017), and Greene Foundation (2024) which both state it is genuine and thinned, but there is a small nick in frameline at top centre, not metioned in either certificate. A rare, early Newfoundland stamp, and the second most expensive Newfoundland pence issue stamp besides the 6d scarlet vermillion. Needless to say, this stamp is missing from almost every collection. A great opportunity. CV as used F $6,000.
