Divest Thompson Rivers University
Fossil fuel investments are a risk for both investors and the planet – we’re calling on TRU to divest from these companies.
Support student efforts to review and renew a campus food service policy and eliminate Aramark's suffocating monopoly on services at TRU!
Make sure all the new projects regarding campus infrastructure include local businesses and culture, not executive-made corporate-contracts!

Prior to the Common Voices lecture, the TRU Divestment Committee met with Naomi Klein for a brief discussion on sustainability, environmentalism, and the importance of organizing within the context of decolonization. Our time with her cemented our view that relationships with fossil fuel and mineral extraction giants like Kinder Morgan and KGHM are hazardous both for our institution and environment.
We would like to thank Naomi for her dedication and contribution to the Land, the Water, and young people organizing everywhere.
We will continue the struggle against the entities that put profit over people and capital over community. Divest!
