A throw back painting of our visit to a lavender farm a few years ago. That amazing smell, the buzzing of the bees, and warm sunshine. A magical little adventure.

I began this painting outside on a chilly spring day. I was itching to get outdoors and paint any colour I could find in the garden after our long Canadian winter. I recently finished it in the warmth of my studio. These flowers are one of the first to pop up in the spring and I think I paint them almost every year. A happy reminder that summer is on the way❤️

Just enough up in the garden to inspire some outside painting. Still a little chilly even for a Canadian spring but the sunshine is lovely.❤️

Marshes are one of my favourite landscapes to paint. The combination of water, wildflowers, and grasses is the perfect playground for creating rich, textured art.

Although I work primarily in pastel, I do like to mix things up every now and again! Resharing an acrylic piece I finished last year inspired by a picture I had taken of a few bovine beauties working their way through the field.
