The Holy Wow Poets Canada

Everyone is invited to the Poets and Artists Extravaganza on Tuesday February the 3rd at the Act Theatre 11944 Haney Place in Maple Ridge, B.C. The Show in the Lobby will start at 7:00 but make sure you come very early as the seatings are limited. This Special Event will present the perception of Artists receiving a poem from our famous poets in the lower mainland. You, the audience, will have a chance to encompass your own rendition of them. Fun for all.

Let us follow what the Poet Laureate Candice James of New Westminster has stated as "unacceptable". Let's follow the rules mentioned below.

"IMPORTANT! It's come to my attention that a few people were uncomfortable when a poet, who shall remain unnamed, took far too long with pre-amble before reading and who also made some sexually suggestive remarks. This is not acceptable and it is the host's job to walk up to the microphone and tell the party that we do have rules that need to be adhered to. THE RULES - No profanity and No sexually suggestive material, AND short time spent talking before reading their poem .."

The Poets' and Artists' Extravaganza is being launched on Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at the Act Theatre Lobby. On that date rolled up or gift wrapped poems by local Holy Wow Poets will be placed in a large basket where you the Artists will simply go and select one randomly. . You will have two months to create your masterpiece (all mediums accepted) that reflects the content of the poem selected. On Tuesday February the 3rd, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. The Poets and Artists' Extravaganza will occur at the Act Theatre. The site there will be announced in 2015. Contact Hélène at 604-467-2357.
