The tragic loss of Toronto Police Constable Marc Pinizzotto is a heartbreaking reminder that the safety of our communities comes at a tremendous cost.

Just days after the loss of OPP Constable Tarun Bali, Ontario’s policing community is once again mourning an officer who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

My thoughts are with Constable Pinizzotto’s family, loved ones, friends, and colleagues. We honour his service, courage, and sacrifice, and stand firmly behind the brave men and women in uniform who protect our communities every day.

Our future economy is built on the skilled workforce we are training today!

Great things are happening in Milton. I had the opportunity to attend the opening of the new CWB Centre of Innovation in Milton alongside Minister David Piccini and the CWB Group team, supported by a $1.46 million Skills Development Fund investment.

Over the next five years, more than 5,700 future welders and skilled trades professionals will receive training at this state-of-the-art facility, helping strengthen Ontario’s workforce and create pathways to rewarding careers right here in our community!
