I just heard about the passing of a dear colleague of mine when I was at St. Anthony of Padua in Bramalea, Ontario as a deacon and then as a young priest. Joanne and Maureen Howarth were a team of “secretaries” in this amazing, young, dynamic and HUGE parish. We had over 5000 registered families!!! JoAnne was a smart, tough, classy professional woman who taught me so much about leading a parish. I am forever grateful for her mentoring. May she and her beloved Don rest in peace.
