Je suis plongé dans le montage photo depuis des jours et, en avançant à travers les galeries de mes clients qui attendent patiemment leurs images, je suis tombé sur cette photo.

Cette image me rappelle que les photographies les plus marquantes naissent avant tout de la confiance. La confiance envers le processus, envers le moment présent et envers l’autre. Alexia et Johnny ont été entièrement présents l’un pour l’autre tout au long de leur journée, se permettant de vivre chaque instant avec authenticité. Ils ont accueilli mes conseils lorsqu’il s’agissait de rechercher la meilleure lumière, le meilleur angle ou simplement de ralentir et de profiter pleinement de leur présence ensemble.

Ce que j’aime le plus dans des images comme celle-ci, c’est qu’elles ne sont jamais le fruit du travail du photographe seul. Elles sont le résultat d’une collaboration sincère entre deux personnes qui acceptent de se montrer telles qu’elles sont et un photographe à qui elles confient le soin de préserver ces souvenirs. Lorsque cette confiance est au rendez-vous, quelque chose de vraiment spécial se produit.

I’ve been editing nonstop and came across this image while working my way through the galleries of clients patiently waiting for their photos.

This photograph is a reminder that the most meaningful images are built on trust. Trust in the process, trust in the moment, and trust in each other. Alexia and Johnny were completely present with one another throughout their day, allowing themselves to feel every moment as it unfolded. They embraced my guidance when it came to chasing the best light, finding the right angle, or simply slowing down and being together.

What I love most about images like this is that they are never created by the photographer alone. They are the result of a shared effort. It’s a collaboration between two people willing to be vulnerable and a photographer entrusted to preserve those memories. When that trust exists, something special happens.

I was getting the wedding details ready with Andrew and Francesca, going over the family list, when Andrew mentioned that his father had passed away. I offered my condolences, and he gently explained that it happened a long time ago when he was only 8 years old.

He paused and then told me something that completely melted me. He was very young when it all happened, but he said he definitely remembered his dad teaching him how to apply cologne.
And recently, while at his mom’s, he found an almost empty bottle of his father’s cologne. He told me that on his wedding day, he was planning to use the very last drops, just so he can feel his father close to him on his big day.
I’ll be honest, I needed a moment after that.
We both did.
It’s moments like this that remind me how lucky I am to have clients who trust me with the most intimate, meaningful pieces of their lives. It is truly a privilege.
