Thank you to everyone for all the birthday calls, texts, PM’s and posts. I had an amazing birthday with friends and family and I was very spoiled. I have to make this special post about this amazing jacket that my friend Alison over at made for me. It’s unreal. So comfortable. Like walking around in your favourite blanket! Made all from reclaimed fabrics including “old man cords”, denim, flannel and a quilt. Easily the most comfortable jacket I’ve ever owned AND my favourite jacket I’ve ever owned! Check out the logo on the back too! Unreal! What a gift she has for for making clothing and what a gift she has given me. I love it so much. I am currently spinning in the basement of the GODDAMN POORHOUSE… Steve Earle’s 2009 tribute to his friend TOWNES. This is the 2021 repress from New West Records on clear vinyl. Double album gatefold. Steve started playing tributes to his friends who had past on. I also have GUY (Guy Clark) as well as JT (for his son, Justin Townes Earle). I love Steve Earle’s songwriting so I often reach for one of his original albums… but this is a beautiful collection of Townes Van Zandt songs that I highly recommend.
As the tornado of news sucks us all in… it’s important to take the time and control the spin.
