The farmstand is open today and tomorrow from 10am-6pm as usual! BUT there is no fresh baking BECAUSE the bakers are saving their strength for Sunday's big market in Kinburn! 🚫🍞🥯

The farmstand will still have lots of farm fresh eggs, fresh kale, garlic scapes, granola, & maple syrup!

Sunday's market is at The Covered Bridge Brewing Company Inc. on Loggers Way in Kinburn from 11am-3pm. There will be 18 local vendors, Just Perogies will be cooking, and live music at 12pm! 🎶

For whatever reason I never feel like the growing season has "begun" until the strawberries are ready. I know its not true (as we have harvested haskaps, asparagus, garlic scapes, and herbs already), but maybe its because the strawberries are ripe right at the first day of summer, the large scale farm stands start rolling out, and we re-start the task of storing some of these delicious treasures away for winter.

Whatever the reason, we are here! Today i picked 8L of glorious fruit from Kinburn Berries and aim to go back again next week! Berries have a short season but we freeze enough to make them last all year for smoothies, jams, and for just, well, eating!

This weekend looks like gorgeous weather for exploring your local farmers markets, stands, and pick your own farms! Don't let this season pass you by! ✌️
