Camp Weldon Educational Services

It was a busy day. Not much time for pictures! We hunted for crayfish, made a big fort, attempted giant bubbles, went on a nature BINGO hike, and had some hammock time.

We thought we might get rain today, so we set up a tent as a shelter… but we never got rain!
Crafts, hiking, ‘tree jail’, raspberry picking, foam plane flying, foam plane rescuing, hammock swinging, hammock swinging turned bat colony (all upside down), hide and seek, and pool noodle wars!

It was all girls at Forest School today! We did lots of exploring, crafting, adventuring, laughing, and learning!

Children don’t need perfect playgrounds to build confidence. Sometimes all they need is a tree, a challenge and the freedom to explore 🌳

Research shows that climbing, balancing and testing their limits helps children develop strength, coordination and resilience. Nature provides some of the very best opportunities for all three.
