Still wintering 🌿

Some days I’m full of energy, soaking up the sun, chasing the boys, doing all the things.
And some days… my nervous system just isn’t there.

Migraine days.
Slow days.
“this is all I’ve got” days.

And learning — again and again —
that my 40% is my 100%.

And that is enough.

When your child can’t find the words…

The day feels like chaos.

Behaviours are loud.

Everyone’s nervous systems are frayed.

You're all in survival mode.

And then…
These drawings peek through.

Their art.

Their truth.

Their way of explaining their world.
When language fails, when development is just that: developing!

Art is healing.

It holds the storm, the feelings, the unseen energies.

It reminds us to slow down,
to listen differently.

As a parent, and as a human...I get swept up too—
I focus on what doesn’t matter,
forgetting their only children.

It's all in the repair,
after the storm!
This is what truly matters.
This is where humility lies.

These gentle reminders are needed.
These lessons- this growth...
It's transformative.
It's appreciated.

Because I am still learning too.
