Here are some common misconceptions about insurance brokers:
1. **They Are Just Salespeople**: Many people think brokers only sell insurance. In reality, they provide valuable advice, assess clients' needs, and help find the best coverage options.
2. **They Are Expensive**: Some believe hiring a broker will increase their insurance costs. However, brokers often have access to multiple insurers and can find competitive rates, potentially saving clients money.
3. **They Work for Insurance Companies**: Brokers are independent and represent the client's interests, not the insurance companies. They help clients find the best policies from various providers.
4. **Insurance Brokers Are Only for Complex Needs**: While brokers can help with complicated insurance needs, they are also valuable for individuals seeking basic coverage options.
5. **They Can Guarantee Claims Approval**: Brokers can assist in the claims process but cannot guarantee that a claim will be approved, as that decision lies with the insurance company.
6. **They Don’t Offer Personal Service**: Many believe that working with a broker means less personal attention. In fact, brokers often build strong relationships with clients to provide tailored service.
Understanding these misconceptions can help individuals make more informed decisions about working with insurance brokers.

Life can take unexpected turns, and it’s devastating to see families facing enormous medical bills. Recently, a child got sick, and the parents found themselves needing to write a check for $100,000.
This situation raises an important question: how would the family's experience differ if they had life insurance instead of relying on a GoFundMe? With life insurance, they could have accessed funds more quickly, providing financial relief without the stress of crowdfunding.
While GoFundMe can be a lifeline, having life insurance means families can focus on healing, knowing their financial future is more secure. Let’s spread the word about the importance of planning ahead!

What’s the difference between mortgage insurance and life insurance?
The main difference is that mortgage insurance only pays off your mortgage if you die. The money goes straight to the bank, so your family doesn’t get anything.
Life insurance does more. It gives your family money that’s tax-free, and they can use it however they need. For example, besides paying off the mortgage, the money could also help with:
-Other debts you have
-Funeral costs
-Child care
-Everyday living expenses
So, mortgage insurance just covers the house loan, while life insurance can help your family with much more.
As an Insurance Broker, I can shop the market with "no" brokerage fees and free up some money that can go directly back into your pocket.

Term life insurance provides coverage for a fixed period (usually 10-30 years) and does not include an investment component.
Permanent life insurance covers your entire life, includes a cash value component, and is more robust and flexible.
**This is a brief explaination, please reach out to learn what each of these would best suit what you need.

The rule of 72 which is "72" divided by the interest rate you are getting in your Savings Account, TFSA, Checkings Account, etc... will give you the amount of years your money in that account will take to double. The higher the interest**, the faster it will double.
**certain interests may vary during the year.
