this allows our natural state of peace, clarity, confidence, and connection to be embodied in an authentic way.

We all have the ability to feel peace from within us. Whether you've meditated before, whether you haven't or whether you've tried and weren't able to. It's possible and it's life-changing.

I thought I couldn't because I tried so many times, but then I learned a few techniques that actually worked for me. There are different meditations and there's something that works for everyone.

If you start work early and don't have 15 minutes, start with 5. Even 1 minute. Do it on your break. Sit in your car. If you don't have a car, find a quiet room even if it's the bathroom 😅. Just sit and close your eyes. And breathe. It's normal for thoughts to come but focus on your breathing anyway (without forcing). How it feels when you're inhaling and exhaling, if it feels stuck somewhere or how fast or slow the air moves. The sound of it. Just sense yourself breathing.

It might not sound like much but often the simplest things make a big difference in how you feel!

Whoever is reading this, I challenge you today to find even one minute to do that and feel free to share 👀

Creating Moments

We do all kinds of things to relax to clear our minds—but how often are we intentional about it where it can work for us?

When I want clarity or to shift something within myself, creating peaceful, beautiful moments in nature makes all the difference. It’s one thing to go for a walk by the water and listen to music because it’s beautiful—but often, we don’t feel any real change or feel like we're receiving clarity because we’re distracted.

It’s completely different when I go somewhere just to sit and be. Not to scroll, not to fix anything, just to be there; taking in the surroundings with all my senses. No plan, no pressure. Just being present. It’s a game changer! It's relieving.

In those moments, I'm actually present with myself. We all have an inner guidance inside us there to be realized—but we can’t sense or realize it through all the noise in life and constant stimulation. Connecting with yourself matters because you’re in a relationship with yourself and you deserve your attention (but that’s a whole other topic! 😅).

I love choosing a spot that’s quiet and private—somewhere I can be alone. Bringing a snack, maybe a chair or blanket—whatever helps to feel comfortabl makes it more relaxing. I'll even bring something in case I end up getting bored at some point like a journal or music as a backup. It’s normal to worry about being bored and that's why I feel it's fine to bring something to entertain myself to have fun—but then I always return to just being there because that's what creates space for clarity to be realized.

I'd love to hear if anyone else does this—or if you decide to do this, I’d love to hear how it goes!

It was awesome to see 4 and 5 year olds deepen feelings of relaxation with simple meditation techniques that are fun! Being able to shift how we feel is an important life skill, which we practice in Mindfulness Adventures. Thank you École Cedarcrest Elementary School for having me 💙💜
