A quick day trip to Waskesiu Lake Resort near the Prince Albert area, to see the sights and check the water temps..
Great to see the magnificent fauna and flora as we got North of Saskatoon. Really stunning scenery the road trip alone is worth the drive!

Arriving at the park, it is as beautiful as described by the many people who have suggested we take a trip up North. (thank you)
The State Forest is immaculate, the trees beautiful and the views stunning!
Seeing an Elk on our drive-in was magical, and made it feel like nature was all around us.

The quaint little village has a happy and peaceful feel, some great little shops, good coffee and friendly people.
Great activity area for families wishing to enjoy a day at the lake, or beach as its called.
Caution, the water temp is certainly not what this Aussie family is used to, Mum dipped her toes in and was done, and the kids were dressed in their swimmers ready to roll but the 19deg was not within their appetite...yet!
So volleyball with a frisbee was what the kids enjoyed whilst we sipped on a hot coffee walked the pier and drooled over all the pike we saw patrolling the edges!

We will be back more prepared next time!

What the Hell Have We Done…Guided Tribe yeah right - more like the LOST TRIBE!!!

Hey all,

Well according to our close Aussie friends we are mental! …why leave the balmy tropical lifestyle of life in board shorts and bikinis, cruising around Whitsunday Islands barely seeing a day go below 20 degrees Celsius! For what you say, well our Tribe will be adventuring on the Canadian Prairies this winter – what could possibly await us? what could possibly go wrong…?
