AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI features pull from public information about your business to generate recommendations. Here's how to give them what they need:

1. FAQ content — real questions, clear answers. "What areas do you serve?" "How much does X cost in Sault Ste. Marie?"

2. Specific reviews: "Great plumber in Sault Ste. Marie, fixed my furnace same day" tells AI exactly who you are and where you are.

3. Clear, structured service pages — not one generic "services" page, but individual descriptions per service with location context.

Go to your website homepage right now.

Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F on Mac) — search for "Sault Ste. Marie."

If it doesn't appear in your headline, your about section, and at least one service description — Google doesn't know where you are. And if Google doesn't know where you are, it can't show you to local searchers.

This is the #1 SEO mistake I see on Sault business websites. And it's a 10-minute fix.
