Ugh, Facebook...

The only thing I find more irritating/confusing/challenging than Facebook is Facebook Ads!

Trying to figure out the ads usually ends in me to throwing something! Seriously, why does it have to be so complicated to figure out?!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 3 years since the pandemic started but it also feels like a lifetime ago.

Do you remember when it all started?

My family and I were at YVR waiting to board our flight to Mexico for spring break. Being stranded in Mexico for almost 3 weeks, trying to get back home, were some of the most stressful days I’ve ever experienced.

But they almost can’t compare to the next 3 years of unimaginable stress trying to keep 2 businesses afloat, one of which was a gym.

Over these years, I’ve had some incredible conversations with fellow business owners. Some conversations inspired me to keep going, while others simply brought me to tears.

By now, you've probably heard about Chat GPT but in case you haven't, it's the amazing AI chatbot that's sweeping the nation.

BUT you might also be wondering, what the heck it can do for you, the small business owner, right?!

Honestly, it can do A LOT for you!

How many times have you sat there, staring at your screen thinking "what am I gonna write/post/make a Reel/TikTok about?"

Probably, more than a few times and that's where ChatGPT can help you.

So I asked it the following question - Give me 3 funny Reel ideas for a small business

And this was its unedited reply-

"The Great Product Debate": Create a Reel where you debate which product is better while wearing funny costumes or using props. For example, you could have a coffee shop where one employee prefers iced coffee and the other prefers hot coffee, and they could argue their points using exaggerated gestures and facial expressions

"When customers give too much information": Create a Reel where you act out funny scenarios that happen when customers give too much information. For example, you could have a scene where a customer tells you their entire life story while ordering a sandwich, and the employee struggles to keep a straight face

"DIY Failures": Create a Reel where you show funny DIY fails related to your business. For example, if you're a plant store, you could have a scene where you try to repot a plant and end up covered in soil or accidentally break the pot. The key is to make it lighthearted and relatable

Now, those are pretty creative suggestions!

Keep in mind, ChatGPT is not meant to do all the work for you (remember it's AI and NOT a real person!) but it can definitely help you get unstuck so you can carry on with your business.
