The war erupted in Ukraine on February 24 2021, resulting in a swift enemy advance towards Kiev. However, the town of Irpin stood strong and halted the invaders, albeit at the price of significant damage to 70% of its infrastructure.
By successfully repelling the enemy, Irpin earned the esteemed status of a heroic city. Presently, our focus lies in the crucial endeavor of rebuilding the social infrastructure, encompassing schools, kindergartens, sports facilities, and cultural establishments.
In the ongoing efforts to restore Irpin's buildings and infrastructure facilities, significant progress has been made, but there is still much work ahead. The focus now turns to the critical task of revitalizing schools and kindergartens, which remain in dire need of attention. Despite some renovations, a significant number of educational institutions lack essential bomb shelters, rendering them unsafe for conducting training and posing a risk to the children's well-being.
The issue extends beyond Irpin itself, as many schools and kindergartens in the surrounding villages and small towns have yet to be fully restored. Consequently, children are compelled to endure long daily journeys on school buses, covering substantial distances. Unfortunately, the scarcity of buses exacerbates the situation, greatly affecting their education, socialization and mental health.
In accordance with the law of Ukraine, it is mandated that every school and kindergarten must possess a bomb shelter during times of martial law. This requirement ensures the safety of students and enables the effective implementation of training procedures within these facilities. By adhering to this regulation, educational institutions can better prepare and protect their students in the event of any potential threats or emergencies.
A potential solution lies in the installation of bomb shelters within the restored schools. This measure would allow children to resume their education within their hometowns and villages, providing them with a sense of stability and a safer learning environment. By implementing these shelters, not only would the immediate safety concerns be addressed, but it would also foster a more conducive atmosphere for education and contribute to the overall well-being of the children.
The task of restoring schools and kindergartens, ensuring the availability of sufficient transportation, and integrating bomb shelters represents a crucial endeavor that requires concerted efforts from the local authorities, community members, and concerned organizations. Situation around educational institutions in Hostomel

In the aftermath of a devastating full-scale invasion, educational institutions in Hostomel, particularly Lyceum Number 2, have been profoundly affected. Tamara Sabluk, the director of Lyceum Number 2, shares the heart-wrenching impact of the destruction caused by the invasion. In the serene town of Moschun, a significant shift has occurred. The local gymnasium, once home to only a handful of students, has been transformed into a branch of Lyceum number 1. Presently, Moschun is home to 63 children aged 0 to 10, who have returned to their community, as well as 48 children aged 11 to 17. With a growing population of young residents, it has become imperative to address the pressing need for an elementary school with a preschool department. This blog aims to shed light on the importance of establishing such a school to cater to the educational needs of the children, particularly those in the 1st and 4th grades, and alleviate the challenges associated with transportation to distant schools.

1. Growing Population of Young Children:
Moschun is experiencing a remarkable resurgence as families return to their roots. The town now boasts 63 children between the ages of 0 and 10, who live directly within the community. These young minds require access to quality education that nurtures their development, prepares them for the future, and ensures a seamless transition into higher grades.
