Writing is something that I love to do. It is something that keeps me in touch with my network. The written word allows us all to communicate across time and miles. It forms a basis for community. Writing connects us as we share our hearts, our passion, our vision.

So, then I wonder…why is it so difficult for me to establish a simple habit of writing every day?

I know I have unique and valuable thoughts to share. We all do. I know how much I appreciate when others share their writing through articles, books, and courses that we all can learn from. I know that it takes time and practice to develop the art and skill of writing well.

Today I make a new commitment to myself. I will write something every day in my area of speciality. I will share my thoughts and ideas. I will grow through the doing – one word at a time. This is a new start!

As Zig Ziglar said, “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
