How it started...
The artist behind the mask creation is Michele Morgan of the Annex Art Centre, where she develops and teaches art to children.
The mask making project began simply as a small endeavour to make fun and protective face wear for family and friends and use up a lot of found and collected material scraps.
The demand grew and she was encouraged to use revenue from the sale of the masks to go towards an effort to save the art centre which like most all other small gallery and art studios will have great difficulty in surviving the pandemic closure.
