As a result, the seagrass, algae, eelgrass, and other plants these fish eat would see a large decrease in population due to overgrazing. Every animal is important to the ecosystem.

Being a keystone species, swordfish are one of the top predators in the marine ecosystem that bring balance in the food chain.the marine food chain, they serve as predators to smaller baitfish and cephalopods as well as prey to apex predators like sharks and orcas, today we experience less of these sword fish due to farming them for food and sport which in return gives the fish a spot on the endangered species list, it’s important we teach this so we can bring notification to those who don’t understand the negative impact this could bring.
