Our client leading DSP for Amazon is hiring the Package Delivery Driver position for a fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh up to 50lbs. Package Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills. Some may require the ability to drive a delivery vehicle with a standard (manual) transmission. Qualified applicants must have a valid driver’s G or higher license issued in the state of Ontario. Package Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided vest/uniform.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Work Location: GTA and Surrounding area.
Workdays: Monday to Saturday
Shift Start: 9:00 Am to 7:00PM
Shift Duration: 8-10 hours per day
Responsibilities and Duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely transport packages to households and businesses.
Perform daily pre-trip and post trip inspections of your vehicle
Load Van prior to departure (able to lift up to 50 lbs)
Keep company van in good clean condition
Follow and execute company-established safe/defensive driving methods
Assist with loading/unloading the trucks as required
Record, track and maintain information about delivered packages
Security and Safety
Bondable
Driving record check (abstract)
Criminal record check (Done by company for selected candidates at no charge)
Qualifications:
"G" license or higher (should be able to driver Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van / Ford Transit van / GMC Cargo van)
Clean driving abstract (Updated Abstract to be produced at the time of Interview)
Some courier experiences an asset
2 years driving experience required
Clean Criminal Record
Excellent Customer Service skills
Ability to read and navigate with GPS and navigator map books
Minimum 25 years of age
Compensation and Benefits:
$18.00 per hour
4% vacation pay

$100.00 Bonus on third month anniversary

Duties and Responsibilities:
Able to understand blueprint drawings and written specifications.
Understand work orders, change orders, and all other related job documents.
Assist Lead Carpenter on job sites as well as bring discrepancies and special conditions to his attention.
Ability to use job specific tools to install cabinetry, hardware and trim
Maintain a safe and clean job site.
Measure and cut the bases, pedestals, housing, shelves, doors, drawers and tops. The saw operator measures the wall spaces between appliances or fixtures, then measures and cuts all wood for cabinet parts.
Assemble the parts and affix them to the walls.
Tops must be perfectly smooth and level for the counter tops to go on properly. All visible wood must be finished uniformly to the customer's desire.
Clean up the sawdust, discarded wood and product packaging. Vacuum and dust the work area before leaving each day.
