REVERSE ENGINEERING DISCONTINUED TEA BLENDS IVE NEVER HAD BEFORE:
Birthday Cake Rooibos Blend by DAVIDsTEA

Blend deets:
35G RED ROOIBOS
18G HONEYBUSH
10-20 SPRITZS BDAY CAKE FLAVOUR*
12G MINI MARSHMALLOWS
12G CAROB NIBS
12G SPRINKLES

*To flavour the tea I use LorAnn super strength (water soluble) flavors. I add 1 part flavor oil to 3 parts everclear to a spray bottle.
Spritz it over the tea, I start with 10 spritzes per cup of tea, and go from there. Shake the tea well to disperse the flavor and let it dry for 12-24 hours before bagging!

This blend is best drank HOT w milk & honey (imo)! I do a heaping tea scoop steeped in 6oz freshly boiled water, and let it steep for 5-6 mins. I like my tea very strong bc I’m a coffee girl at heart hahah I then add a splash of cream and a bit of honey and it is DELISH!

HAPPY FRIDAY ✨ let’s make Shabbat dinner for my family!!

EXTRA CREAMY HUMMUS
* 1 (19 oz) can chickpeas
* 1 can of water (refill the chickpea can)
* 3–4 Tbsp tahini (adjust to taste)
* 2 Tbsp olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
* Juice of 1 lemon (about 2–3 Tbsp)
* ¾ tsp kosher salt (adjust to taste)
* ½ tsp ground cumin
* ¼ tsp smoked paprika
* 2 ice cubes
* Fresh parsley + smoked paprika for garnish

Pour the chickpeas and one can of water into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered until most of the water has evaporated (about 12–15 minutes). This softens them for a creamier blend.
Drain and rinse chickpeas with cold water. Transfer to a bowl of fresh cold water and swish vigorously with your hands to loosen skins. Skim floating skins off with a mesh spoon. Repeat 2–3 times.
Drain chickpeas and add to a food processor with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, cumin, and smoked paprika. Blend until thick and mostly smooth.
Add the ice cubes and continue to blend for 1–2 minutes until light and creamy. Add cold water 1 Tbsp at a time if needed for thinner consistency.

My most recent SALAD PROPHECY:
Grilled Chicken & Apple with a creamy lemony vinaigrette dressing situation.

This version of the salad from my dream gets a 7.2/10. It is really good, but can be better, and I WILL make it better later this summer 😂

Here is the recipe for V1 if you want to try it:

I coated my chicken in a chicken seasoning I had never tried before, I usually marinate it or use Mr rotisserie chicken seasoning before grilling but I’m out of it and forgot to marinate it. This seasoning was the wrong call for this specific salad but it was v yum. Im gonna do a different seasoning next time.

I like to get my chicken pretty flat before grilling so it spends the least amount of time on the grill possible. This keeps it nice n juicy. I flip it after 5 minutes, then check the temp after 5 mins then every 1-2 mins until it reaches 165f internally. I like to let it rest for about 10 mins before slicing.

Creamy Lemony Imitation Shallot Dressing:
•3 tbsp mayonnaise
•3 tbsp olive oil (or neutral oil)
•2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
•1 tsp Dijon mustard
•1/4 ish garlic clove, finely minced
•2 green onion stalks (white part only), finely minced
•1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
•1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper

V1 Salad Base:
• mixed greens
• arugula
• finely sliced red onion
• finely sliced apple (honeycrisp is best)
• chopped roasted pistachio
• sliced avocado

LETS MAKE: Birthday Cake Breakfast Assam Black Tea

The blend:
•2 cups Vanilla or Bday Cake flavored ORGANIC ASSAM CTC tea
•1/4 cups Carob
•1/2 cup dehydrated marshmallows
•1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
