As we mark 1,000 days since the events of October 7, 2023. For families in Gaza, the humanitarian crisis continues.
While more humanitarian aid is entering Gaza, far too much of it is still not reaching the people who need it most. Children and families continue to face devastating challenges—not only hunger, but the growing threat of chronic malnutrition caused by diets lacking the protein, vitamins, and nutrients needed to live healthy lives.
Access to safe water remains critically limited, livelihoods have been destroyed, and the cost of food has put nutritious meals out of reach for many families. Without sustained humanitarian access, these challenges will continue to have lasting consequences for children's health, growth, and future.
Despite these obstacles, Action Against Hunger has supported more than 1.5 million people in Gaza since 2023, providing nutrition services, safe water, sanitation, food assistance, and livelihood support wherever possible.
As Canadians, we believe humanitarian assistance should reach civilians safely, wherever they are. Together, we can continue to stand with families affected by crisis and support the delivery of lifesaving aid with humanity, dignity, and compassion.

Thousands of families in Venezuela are still living outdoors after the devastating earthquakes, without reliable access to safe water, sanitation, or secure shelter.
Search and rescue are continuing, and the humanitarian crisis is far from over. Many people remain displaced in parks, stadiums, and temporary settlements, where the risk of disease continues to grow.
Action Against Hunger teams are on the ground, working with local partners to provide hygiene kits, essential supplies, and lifesaving water, sanitation, and hygiene support to families who have lost so much.
As Canadians, we have an opportunity to make an even greater impact.

🌍 Over 117 million people around the world have been forced to flee their homes—the highest number ever recorded.
Conflict, climate disasters, persecution, and hunger are driving families from everything they know in search of safety and survival.
📍 In Sudan, nearly 14 million people have been displaced, and 21 million are facing hunger. Women and girls face heightened risks, while access to essential services continues to deteriorate. Since 2023, Action Against Hunger has reached more than 750,000 people with food, clean water, healthcare, and protection services.
📍 In Lebanon, 1.4 million Syrian refugees continue to face daily challenges, including overcrowded living conditions and limited access to food, clean water, healthcare, and sanitation.
On June 20th, it is World Refugee Day. We stand with families forced to flee. Through emergency assistance, nutrition support, clean water, healthcare, and cash assistance, Action Against Hunger is helping people rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
