We are a Canadian startup that is based in Toronto. Our business officially started in late 2019. Our founders are Paul, Kenny, Kenneth, and Ivan, we are all individuals with a multicultural background. Most of us met through education and generated this idea due to our commitment and involvement in reselling on the aftermarket.
Sneaker resale is now estimated to be a $2 billion market. With collaborations between sneaker brands such as Jordan and Travis Scott to boost the popularity of a sneaker. The resale market is projected to triple in value over the next several years, reaching more than $6 billion by 2025.
To start selling, all someone has to do is line up at their local retail stores such as Footlocker and wait until it’s their turn to purchase a pair of limited sneakers. When you have the sneakers in hand, there are a variety of avenues for resale. Initially, eBay and CraigsList were the primary markets. As questions about the validity and safety of shoes arose consignment stores like Flight Club, Sole Stage, and Stadium Goods as well as newer apps and websites like GOAT, Facebook Marketplace and Stock X became markets for resale.
Some factors that determine resale value- Quantity, demand, and hype.
