Our fifth and final Director intro as part of our "people behind Oxen" series!
Brandon Langan is one of those people who makes you feel instantly at ease - steady, thoughtful, and always ready with a perspective that matters. Born and raised in Cambridge Bay, he is a deeply respected leader, youth mentor, handyman, explorer, outdoorsman, expedition specialist, and someone who brings a rare mix of practical skill and lived experience to everything he does.
He’s spent multiple seasons working onboard expedition voyages, and is a true adventurer in the most literal sense having once driven over sea ice from Resolute to Yellowknife and explored the high altitudes of the Greenlandic ice sheet.
He’s thoughtful, direct, and never afraid to speak up about where we should be heading, which makes him an incredibly valuable voice around the table.
While he’s often talking through big ideas or new opportunities, there’s a good chance one of his dogs or cats will make an appearance mid-call for an impromptu cuddle - a regular highlight for the rest of us.
Amongst strong company, Brandon holds a title we don’t hand out lightly - Oxen’s most avid hunter. It’s still to be determined whether Brandon will dethrone Mariah as champion of the ongoing Oxen Director fishing derby… but we wouldn’t bet against him 😆.

Inuuteq is from Aasiaat and now lives in Nuuk. He’s the kind of person who can talk about big ideas and the meaning of life for hours, usually with great music somewhere in the background. A creative through and through, he is Oxen’s official photographer and a natural storyteller shaped by his background in journalism.
His natural curiosity and ability to connect with people has taken him across tourism sectors, from high end camps to expedition voyages throughout Inuit Nunaat, where he shares stories and perspectives with international audiences.

He is productive, considerate, and understanding. His commitment to increasing Inuit representation drives the work he does here. You may not always see him front and center, but his tireless efforts behind the scenes, especially on the administrative side and in working with companies are a real asset to the organization.
