For the 14th year in a row, we are proud to announce that AIR MILES has been named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers and is being recognized as a leader in environmental awareness and practices.

Last week, in celebration of Earth Day, our Associates had the opportunity to prepare and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal with chef Jose Matamoros, Chef de Cuisine of 1Kitchen at Toronto’s 1Hotel. Chef Matamoros guided our Associates through an engaging virtual hands-on cooking class and offered tips for reducing the environmental footprint of our food, the benefits of eating local produce and how to source reasonably priced local foods and goods. Thanks to everyone who came out to participate!

In recognition of the importance of this day, and all the amazing women that help make AIR MILES what it is today, our employee resource group, the Women’s Leadership Initiative, welcomed Brandy Stanovich from the Native Women’s Association of Canada, to teach us about Change the Bill - a call to action that aims to promote reconciliation and gender equality through art by commissioning Indigenous artists to reimagine the Canadian $20 bill with Indigenous women on it who are their heroes. Placing an Indigenous woman on the bill would go a long way in recognizing the important contributions they have made to this country. Our Associates enjoyed samples of their beautiful work displayed around the Toronto office today.
