Attention live music industry workers! We need your voice! Join us at the Tranzac in Toronto on May 30 for an open house hosted by Nordicity as part of a research study commissioned by the Canadian Live Music Association (CLMA).
Drop in any time between 6-8pm to share your thoughts on how we can make working in live music more sustainable. The event is free and open to all live music workers - from stage crew, venue owners, sound/lighting technicians, event and festival producers, PR and promoters, touring managers, and beyond. Whether you are currently working in the industry, recently left, or looking to make your start - we want to hear from you!

Calling all dance artists, companies, and facility operators!
Nordicity and Bridget MacIntosh have been engaged by the Dance Umbrella of Ontario to conduct research into the quantity, quality, and availability of dance rehearsal spaces in Ontario. To do this, we need your help. Take our survey today: https://ca1se.voxco.com/S2/114/dance/
Ontario’s dance community was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Public health measures shut down the in-person activities of our dance communities for more than a year – forcing some of the province’s vital dance hubs to close permanently. As we continue to navigate this evolving pandemic environment, the dance sector needs data and research to support their transition back to the studio. That’s why we’re working with DUO on the Transition & Transformation in the Ontario Dance Sector study.
Please share the survey far and wide with your networks. The survey will be closing on April 21st.
We thank you all in advance for your contributions to this research, and we look forward to paving a way forward for Ontario’s dance community with your support!

What is the economic and social impact of art and culture?
To answer that question for the Vancouver Island and Gulf Islands super region, Nordicity conducted an Impact Assessment of the Arts and Culture Sector for Innovation Group.
Join us at the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance Summit tomorrow, Thursday October 28th, to hear the findings in the session ‘Magic Happens Where Arts & Business Converge’ at 10.30am PT, presented by Chad Rickaby and Louisa Plant from Nordicity and Kera McHugh from DIG.
