It was an amazing opening reception at the John Mann Gallery on Saturday for Expression 2024 group exhibition. Meet some amazing fellow artists, educators, alumni, had great and deep conversations that were paired with delicious wine.

Expression 2024 is an exciting exhibition featuring some of Canada's talented artists associated with OCADU, Brock University and the University of Ottawa. The John Mann Gallery has partnered with some of Canada's prestigious Art educational institutions to support the next upcoming Canadian Artists.

Through the Expression Project, 13th Street Winery and John Mann Gallery are committed to supporting Canadian artists. Proceeds from each bottle or can of Expression wine sold are allocated to the Expression Project fund, which provides scholarships and awards for art students attending OCADU, Brock University, and the University of Ottawa.

The Expression 2024 exhibition runs from April 20 th to May 18th.

I've recently re-(to the power of I lost count)-watched one of my favourite and highly underrated (in my opinion) art biopic films, At Eternity's Gate . A distinctly different biopicture that will evoke your empathy for Vincent Van Gogh.

The film shows Vincent Van Gogh's time in Arles and his final last days. This journey inside the world and mind of a person who, despite skepticism, ridicule and illness, created some of the world's most beloved and stunning works of art. I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves Van Gogh, an art fan or someone who wants to understand artists or themselves better.

Every time I watch this film, the same scene where Dr. Gachet asks him why do you paint always hits me to the core as I can relate to what the actor states in the film.

I'm excited to finally reveal that my first 2024 group exhibition will be held at the prestige John Mann Gallery in St. Catharines, Ontario (previously known as 13 th Street Gallery). The opening reception is dated to be on Saturday February 10 from 2pm-5pm, with all the participating artists in attendance, including yours truly.

The 6,000 sq.ft. gallery is located at 13th Street Winery in the Niagara Region and nestled amid an impressive contemporary sculpture garden. With a dynamic exhibition schedule, visitors to the Gallery will encounter a unique environment that will expand their relationship to Art, Wine, and Food.

I will have a number of my newest paintings displayed in the gallery. These were the paintings that I finished for the January 2nd deadline. I have not shared them anywhere online, nor has anyone seen them except me.

Hope to see you at the opening reception in beautiful Niagara Region, surrounded by exceptional artwork, delicious food and of course unprecedented wine.

Cheers
