In keeping with our theme of planning today I want to address all of you who DO plan and find yourselves short of your goal.
2 KEY POINTS TO CONSIDER:
1. Planning is not DOING. Don't let planning take up all of your time- there needs to be a healthy balance. For those of us that are a bit OCD, and love to organize- planning can become a preoccupation (guilty)! Make sure your planning schedule is that- an allotted amount of time for planning, with a realistic and even larger amount of time for EX*****ON. Most businesses and ideas don't get off the ground for lack of a plan- they fail because of the lack of ex*****on.
Get real with yourself to make sure that your plan is realistic and that you're actually doing the things you set out to do. If not, be flexible enough to adjust them. Agility in sales is everything and i cannot stress this point enough. If your plan fails, simply adjust, re-energize and keep it moving.
2. When is that last time you added something new to your weekly plan? If you're doing the same thing then you will get the same results. It's pretty much scientific. Challenge yourself to add one new task or approach to your selling this week. Try a new prospecting method. A new closing technique. A confidence building exercise. Adding something new to your routine planning on a weekly basis can contribute to your over agility capabilities and increase your chances of success. What have you got to lose.

In order to plan you need a goal. For the week, for the month, for the year. It's November now. You should already be at quota, if you're not ask yourself right now what is one adjustment I can make TODAY to get back on track?
